The Project goal is to produce protective coatings from the new generation of 2D materials that satisfy the main heritage conservation demands and offers long-term protection against several external influences recognized as key parameters of heritage deterioration (humidity, temperature shock, photochemical oxidation, resistance to acid environment, micromechanical deformation, and aging).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The main conservation challenges that were addressed in the project are:<\/p>\n

Conservation challenge 1 (CC1)<\/span>: materials and coatings produced in a nontoxic and inexpensive way, with a highly scalable method that can be easily or
\nrapidly applied, with a homogeneous covering across the hole treated surface.
\nConservation challenge 2 (CC2)<\/span>: materials and coatings that do not alter the structure, color, or texture (in microscale) of the artifact.
\nConservation challenge 3 (CC3)<\/span>: transparent, hydrophobic and reversible coatings with enhanced mechanical properties.
\nConservation challenge 4 (CC4)<\/span>: chemically inert coatings, resistant to internal mechanical damages and thermal stress.
\nConservation challenge 5 (CC5)<\/span>: sustainability and durability of applied coatings upon aging.<\/p>\n

2DHeriPro objectives can be grouped within three categories that interact synergistically to fulfill the target of long-term preservation of Cultural Heritage.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

OBJ1.<\/span> Coating system on 2D materials obtained using materials from natural resources.
\nOBJ2<\/span>. Database of 2D materials thin film structure and topography changes upon external influences.
\nOBJ3.<\/span> Long-term protective films from 2D materials for Heritage preservation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n
